It’s official: Hollywood is already on Holiday break! It was a very quiet week in the entertainment world.
I don’t have many updates for you this week but there are a few, starting with the permanent Jeopardy! host. Mayim Bialik will no longer be returning to the series, leaving Ken Jennings as the permanent host.
There was also a recent Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reunion. All four women reunited to celebrate America Ferrera at a Barbie event, and there are talks of a potential on-screen Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reunion. There is not currently anything in the works, but it does seem that all four women would be on board should something come up.
Speaking of reunions, Ray Romano shot down the idea of an Everybody Loves Raymond reunion. He said, and I quote, it is ‘out of the question’ and that reboots are ‘never as good’.
I can’t say I blame him there. Reboots can be very hit or miss, and considering both of Ray’s on-screen parents have passed away and they played such a pivotal role in the original series, it would be very hard to create a new series that loyal fans would like.
Which is why Dan Levy, star of Schitt’s Creek, also spoke recently of a Schitt’s Creek reunion and said that although he is open to it, it must top what they’ve already done with the original series, and as of now, there is nothing on the table that could top it.
If you are in favor of reboots and spin offs though, there is a spin off in the works for the show Wednesday. Wednesday took the world by storm and there is an upcoming spin off centralizing around Fred Armisen’s character Uncle Fester who appeared in an episode of the first season of Wednesday.
There is currently no timeline for when the series will be produced, but it has been greenlit.
If you’re still wishing you could live in Barbie Land, Ryan Gosling released an EP this week called Ken the EP. On the EP, you’ll find four tracks: the original I’m Just Ken single from the Barbie movie, a Christmas version of the song, an acoustic version, and of course, a disco remix of the song. Check it out here!
Lastly, there is an upcoming expo at the Shriner’s Auditorium called The Chocolate Expo, which will be taking place on January 27th and January 28th, 2024.
The Chocolate Expo is an event that features the tasting and sales of chocolates! Plus, you can try baked goods, specialty foods, dairy products, and craft beverages. Typically, there are also celebrity appearances, chef demos, and the Kidz Zone for children!
This upcoming event is special though because it will feature the FIRST EVER cast reunion from the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! Peter Ostrum, Julie Dawn Cole, Paris Themmen, and Rusty Goffe will all be in attendance and they will be sitting on panels and answering fan questions and also signing autographs and taking photographs with fans.

I hope all of you enjoy the holidays with your friends and family and I can’t wait to be back on air with all of you next week!
