Jordyn’s Buzz – December 15th, 2023

Good morning, listeners!

This week was a bit of a slow week in Hollywood, but I’ve still got some updates for you!

If you’re a fan of Amy Winehouse, you’ll be excited to know that the Back to Black biopic has an official theatrical release date of May 10th, 2024.

The film will look at Winehouse’s early rise to fame and the release of her album Back to Black. It will study Winehouse and the relationship which inspired the album Back to Black. Marisa Abela will be playing Winehouse and alongside her will be Jack O’Connell, Eddie Marsan, and Lesley Manville.

The long-awaited film Wonka is finally in theaters this weekend, just in time for the holidays and for school breaks! Wonka was released overseas last week and has done extremely well in the box office, earning itself the number one spot on the global chart.

Last week, we discussed the Sara Bareilles led film Waitress The Musical and its 5 day limited theater release. The film, to no one’s surprise, has done so well in the box office and its run in theaters has been extended another week! Right now, it’s looking like the film will be in theaters through December 22nd, so if you’re still wanting to see it, you still have a chance!

If you’re looking for a film to watch this weekend but don’t want to venture into the cold, Barbie is officially streaming on HBO Max and Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is available for rent now as well.

As for the holidays, if you’re not an Apple TV subscriber but still want to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas with your family this year, it will be available for **free** tomorrow and Sunday!

Lastly, the Yahoo Entertainment staff has put together a list of The Best Holiday Movies of the 2000s and they tell you where you can stream all of these films. Check it out here.

Enjoy your weekend, good luck finishing all your holiday shopping, and I’ll be back next week with another edition of The Buzz!
