Jordyn’s Buzz – May 24th, 2024

It’s bad news this week for any Jared Padelecki fans –  fans of the CW Walker series were devastated this week when news broke that the network has chosen not to renew the hit series.

What this may open the door for though is a little Supernatural Reunion. Jensen Ackles joined the cast of The Boys, developed by Supernatural Creator Eric Kripke, and there have been talks of trying to get Jared on the show as well.

The Boys has featured many Supernatural actors, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jim Beaver, and since news dropped that Walker was canceled, talks of having Jared join the cast, even if just as a guest star, have become more prominent.

As for movies this week, you can check out JLo’s new film Atlas today on Netflix.

A new trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice also dropped this week, check it out below!

Lastly, the new Beach Boys documentary is on Disney+ now! You can watch that film here.

If you’re a Stranger Things fan, I’m sure you’ve been chomping at the bit waiting for the new season of the series, and while it’s not here yet, there is something Stranger Things related that I can share with you.

Late last year, a Stranger Things stage play opened in the West End and it’s been extremely successful! The play is only in the West End for now, but they’ve extended the run dates into 2025, which is a great sign! The play centralizes around Vecna and his origin story.

This week, Netflix released a trailer for the play and it looks fantastic. As of now, there hasn’t been a filmed version of the play in the works, but you can check out the trailer below!

As for music, Eminem has a new album coming called The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) and an Aaron Carter posthumous album was released today – you can listen to that one here.

If you’re a Taylor Swift fan, you’re probably excited to hear that she’s rumored to be making an appearance in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film that’s coming out this summer. Word on the street is that she might be playing Dazzler, but only time will tell!

Enjoy your long weekend – and if you’re looking for something to do this Memorial Day, check out the Grand Opening of the Mayflower Beer Garden at the Pinehills!
