Local Beer Festivals

Spring is here and so is festival season! In New England, there are very few better ways to commemorate the start of the warm weather than finding your new favorite craft beer.

This month, there are some local festivals coming up.

On April 29th, you can attend the Massachusetts Craft Brewers Festival. There are two sessions: one from 1pm – 4:30pm and the other from 6pm – 9:30pm.

At the festival, you’ll be able to sample beer, cider, and seltzer from 40 Massachusetts craft breweries. There will also be food vendors announced closer to the event.

Tickets are $55, and with your ticket, you can get unlimited beer samples from participating breweries. Plus, if you’re a designated driver or a non-drinker but still want to attend with your friends, you can purchase a ticket for $10.

For a full list of the breweries attending, the link to tickets, and a link to a Q&A about the event, check out this site!

The Newport Beer Festival is also happening on April 29th in Rhode Island. This is the 11th festival, and this year, they’re hosting Rhode Island Breweries as well as some out of state favorites.

There will be 50 craft brewers together at Fort Adams State Park from 2pm – 5:30pm and tickets are $65, including a souvenir tasting glass and all of your samples. They will have food vendors and live music as well.

Check out this site for more info and to purchase tickets!

The Cape Cod Package Store is also hosting a tasting on April 1st from 2pm – 5pm called Sip into Spring Craft Beer Fest. They will be hosting 15 brewers for tasting and potentially more on top of that! Check out this page for more information.

Lastly, Radio Boston is hosting its own Brewed In Mass Beer Fest on April 6th with panelists and tastings. For more information, follow this link.

If you’re not interested in festivals but looking for a nice brewery or outdoor beer garden, check these out. Some may not be open yet for the season, but they will all be great spots to try in the summer!
