If you were a Glee fan, the possibility of a reboot is officially on the table! One of the series’ co-creators said he would ‘never say no’ to a reboot. The original series ran from 2009 – 2015 and became an instant cultural phenomenon, introducing generations old and young to classic and modern day music all with the backdrop of the high school experience.
If you haven’t seen the show, it’s now streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
Britney Spears had a handful of songs featured on Glee, and she cleared up any rumors this week about a return to music: she will NOT be making a comeback. She says she writes music for fun now and writes for other people, but she will never return to the music industry.
Selena Gomez, who rose to fame as a Disney Channel star, said she would probably choose acting over music, so her upcoming album may be her last as well.
If you’re a Sherlock Holmes fan, you’ll be excited to know that there is a series coming to CBS called Watson which will star Morris Chestnut. You can learn more about the series here.
As for movies, there is a prequel for the 1976 film The Omen in the works. The Omen spawned three sequel films and a 2006 remake, and now the prequel film will explore the origins of Damien, the antagonist from the original film.
Jordan Peele, the filmmaker behind Get Out, Nope, and Us, has yet another film in the works! Like with his previous films, he is being tight lipped about plot details, but if it’s anything like his other movies, it’s almost guaranteed to be a success! He has even said that this could be his favorite of his films yet, so long as it’s done currently.
See you back here next week!
