Jordyn’s Buzz – October 27th, 2023

Happy Friday, listeners!!!

This past week, I had the opportunity to see Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse thanks to Broadway in Boston! The music was fantastic, and the company has recently reimagined the show experience and included new music and new acts, some of which are exclusive only to the Boston shows!

It was such an intimate show, and I don’t think you can say that very often after a show. There was so much audience interaction – you felt a part of the show and really felt the connection between the performers and yourself. And with there being no dialogue, it really showed how much something as simple as music can connect you and create a collective experience.

It was such a fun experience – I was on the edge of my seat the entire show waiting to see what would happen next, I can’t recommend the show enough!

The show plays year round and tickets start at just $49 and you can find them on blueman.com!

If you’re a KISS fan, check out this new contest that Fandiem is running! It’s a donation based fundraiser where every donation you make to Children of the Rainforest through Fandiem enters you into a contest to win a trip to see KISS at one of their final shows ever.

If you win, you’ll win a flight with the band on their private jet from Indianapolis to Chicago, be hosted by the band’s manager, get a photo with the band, score VIP tickets to the Indianapolis show, get a spot in the pit during show and soundcheck, take photos with instruments, get a signed tour poster, and more.

The last day to enter is November 16th, so if you love the band, don’t wait!

If you’re a Beatles fan, you’ll be excited to know that a **new** – yes, NEW! – Beatles song is set for release next week!

The song is called Now and Then and it’s a track that John Lennon worked on in the 70s. Recently, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr worked on polishing the song which features John’s vocals, electric and acoustic guitar recorded in 1995 by George, Ringo’s new drum part, and bass, guitar and piano from Paul, which matches John’s original playing. Paul also added a slide guitar solo inspired by George. Paul and Ringo also contributed backing vocals to the chorus.

A 12-minute Now And Then – The Last Beatles Song documentary will debut on November 1st, the track will be released on November 2nd, and the music video will drop on November 3rd!

Lastly, using 80 carved pumpkins, an artist has recreated the Thriller dance! Not only is this fitting for the season, but it also parallels perfectly with our Album Stash tomorrow night! Starting at 10pm, I’ll be playing Michael Jackson’s album Thriller for you to get all of us in the Halloween spirit!

Check out the video of the pumpkins below – it’s incredible! So hard to believe that something so detailed could be recreated on pumpkins!
