If you’re a tv or movie fan or just a Hollywood buff, you were probably psyched to hear the news this week: the writers strike has ended!
Although our fall tv slates still won’t look the way we’re used to and it will still be a long time until we see our scripted series back – especially because the actors are still on strike – this is a tremendous step in the right direction!
Late night talk shows are set to return Monday, October 2nd with “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. Daytime talk shows will likely be returning within the next week or two as well.

If you’re a football fan, I’m sure you were excited by all of the NFL news this week.
They announced early Sunday morning that USHER will be performing during the halftime show at the Super Bowl in February! Now, I’m not sure about you all, but I’ve been waiting for Usher to be picked as the Super Bowl performer for years now, so I am so excited for this news!!
He also announced that he will be releasing a new album on the day of the Super Bowl – February 11, 2024 – his first since 2016!
Next up, if you’re a Taylor Swift and an NFL fan, this tidbit is for you! Rumors have been swirling that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have started dating, and to my knowledge, nothing has been confirmed yet, but she did attend Kelce’s game on Sunday and was in his box with his family, feuling fans’ belief that the two really are dating.
Reactions from fans are pretty split – while some are happy for Swift, others are angry considering she is a self proclaimed Eagles fan and now was seen supporting Kansas City. But since Sunday, Kelce’s jersey sales have increased by nearly 400%! Who knew Taylor Swift had that much of a pull?
Lastly, if you’re a fan of Shrek, then you’ll be interested to know that Airbnb has a Shrek property that will be open for a **FREE** two night stay at the end of October.
