Hi listeners, welcome back to The Buzz!
This week, news broke that because of the ongoing strikes in Hollywood, the Emmys, which typically take place in September, will be delayed until January of 2024. This is the most significant event so far that has been postponed, but given that there still seems to be no resolution in sight for the strikes, it probably will not be the last.
In other news, Taylor Swift announced at one of her Los Angeles shows this week that she will be rereleasing her album 1989 (Taylor’s Version) at the end of October. This is the fourth of six albums that she is rereleasing, with Fearless, Speak Now, and Red already rerecorded and released.
Megan Fox also announced this week that she has written a book of poetry that will be released on November 7th.
In her book, titled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, she details the secrets of the men in her life and her hope and intent behind the book was that it would set her free after years of silence. She also hopes that it inspires her fans and readers to take back their own happiness.

Lastly, this has been in the works for a little bit now, but it is official: there is a Mattel Adventure Park set to open in Arizona!
Although I haven’t seen this confirmed, I am sure the park’s opening has been perpetuated by Barbie’s success – if you haven’t seen, check out this article, it details all of the records the Greta Gerwig film has broken! – and it looks like it will be amazing!
So far, Hot Wheels, Mattel games, Thomas & Friends, and of course, Barbie, have been revealed as being focal points of the park.
As for Barbie, there will be a life size Beach House where guests will be able to bring Barbie to life via hologram, visit Barbie’s closet, and more. There will also be a Barbie rooftop bar and restaurant.
For Hot Wheels, it’s looking like there will be rollercoasters. Then, there will also be mini golf inspired by Mattel games like Pictionary and the Magic 8 Ball. There will also be a “larger than life” custom-climb Uno structure.
And, we’re not done yet! There will also be a resort that will include 4 hotel towers, a sand beach, night club, outdoor concert venue, and more!
