So much has happened in Hollywood since The Buzz last week – from the passing of Leslie Jordan to Kanye West in the headlines to the new Black Adam movie doing so well in the box office to a new Harry Styles music video – it was difficult to narrow down exactly what we should talk about on The Buzz this morning.
Something exciting that’s coming to New York in the next few weeks is something I haven’t ever seen before: a fully immersive pop-up restaurant.
Even more exciting – the restaurant will be centralized around the Golden Girls! The restaurant’s goal is to transport you back to the 1980s, showcasing decorations similar to the show, like Blanche’s Boudoir, a shag carpet, a palm print bedspread, and the iconic yellow kitchen phone.
Although the eatery is aimed at people who are fans of the show, the incredible food the pop up has to offer is sure to draw in even those who aren’t familiar with the show.
Some of the foods that will be offered are “Sophia’s Lasagna Al Forno”, “The Rose Marie Soup and Salad Combo”, “Genurkenflurgen Cake”, and “Blanche’s Georgia Style Cookies”.

For our Taylor Swift fans out there, I’m sure it hasn’t escaped you that she just released her TENTH studio album! I can’t believe she’s already on her tenth album – I remember her first album just like it was yesterday. I loved that Taylor Swift country era.
The reason I bring up Taylor Swift is because one of the new songs on Taylor’s album mentions one of our favorite artists here at Easy 99.1: Janet Jackson!
In her new song “Snow on the Beach”, Taylor says, “But your eyes are flying saucers from another planet / Now I’m all for you like Janet / Can this be a real thing? Can it?”
Since hearing the song, Janet Jackson has released a video of herself on TikTok where she was listening to the song and she captioned it “i LUV it 😘😘😘”. If you want to see the video, it’s linked below.
I’d say if Janet Jackson wasn’t already a Taylor Swift fan, she’s definitely one now!
Lastly, for our local listeners looking to bring the kids out trick or treating on Monday, don’t forget that the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce is going to be hosting their 10th Annual Halloween on Main Street from 3-5pm with trick or treating, face painting, pumpkin painting and more! Check out our post on the event.
See you next week for another edition of The Buzz!
