Welcome back to The Buzz!
First up this week are a couple of exciting remakes coming to Hollywood!
There are supposedly two Wizard of Oz retellings in the works – one by Kenya Barris and one by New Line.
Barris, the creator of Black-ish, hasn’t revealed too much about his remake yet, but New Line’s retelling will be a “fresh take” on Dorothy and the Land of Oz.
There’s also a spin off of The Addams Family coming called Wednesday.
The official trailer has just been released by Netflix, and the series is going to follow a character named Wednesday, who is the daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams. It’s not supposed to be a spin off of the original series, but rather a modern day vision of what Wednesday’s life would be like as a teenager.
In the series, she’s going to be attending the Nevermore Academy and attempting to learn how to master her psychic abilities and trying to solve a murder mystery linked to her family’s past.
If you’d like to see the teaser, I’ve linked it below.
The series doesn’t have an official release date yet, beyond the fact that it’s going to be released in 2022, but we do know that this comedy horror series will have eight episodes and has an amazing cast and creative behind it, including the Smallville Creators and Tim Burton himself.
Next up, rapper Snoop Dogg has released a new breakfast cereal called Snoop Loopz through his business Broadus Foods.
They look like Fruit Loops, but they are gluten free, have more corn, more flavor, and more marshmallows. Additionally, each purchase through Broadus Foods supports charities, like Door of Hope.
You can see his website here.
And if you’re looking for something to do in Massachusetts this weekend, there’s a handful of concerts you can get tickets to.
Tonight at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Loverboy are playing, and you can still purchase tickets here.
Lady Gaga is also playing at Fenway Park tonight, and tickets are linked here.
Tomorrow night, Dispatch and OAR are playing at the Xfinity Center, and follow this link if you’d like to look for tickets.
Lastly, on Sunday, there will be a Queen tribute at the Music Circus, and if you’d like to purchase tickets, you can do so here.
See you next week for another edition of The Buzz!
