This has been an exciting week for Frankie Valli fans! On Wednesday, Valli turned 89 and did a compelling interview talking about aging and what tips he would give to those who are grappling with getting older.
He talked in depth about how age is a frame of mind and how one of the most important things we can do is to keep learning. He said that you can learn from everyone and everything around you, including young children, as long as you open your mind to it.
And here comes the even better news from that interview: Valli has had a long and impressive career and made it clear that he has no plans of retiring. He said that he plans to tour as long as he is able to, even if that means touring less than he previously has.
In commemoration of his successful career, there was a street dedicated to him last week in Newark, where he grew up, called Frankie Valli Way. Check out a photo below.
He also spoke of the upcoming Jersey Boys Movie Musical starring Nick Jonas as Frankie Valli. This movie has been in the works for years now, and Valli said he is “very happy” that Jonas is filling his shoes.
Moving on, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees have been announced, including favorites like Kate Bush, Chaka Khan, and George Michael. The ceremony will be held in November, and tickets will be available for purchase at a later date.
Speaking of favorites, Aerosmith is embarking on their PEACE OUT Farewell tour and planning to stop in Boston at the TD Garden on New Year’s Eve. Tickets go on sale today at 10am and you can purchase them here.
Lastly, if you’re a Marvel fan, run, don’t walk to the movie theater this weekend to see the much anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy installment!
