This coming Monday, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is adding its 2,745th star to the iconic tourist attraction on Hollywood Boulevard.
After forming their band in 2005, the Jonas Brothers, beloved trio of brothers Kevin, Joe, and Nick, are getting their own star after eighteen years of being a band.
If you’re interested in seeing the ceremony – I know my mom and I will be watching! – it will be streamed here on Monday, January 30th at 2:30pm EST (11:30am PST). You can read more on the band and the ceremony at this link.
Neil Patrick Harris has also been busy in Hollywood – he was starring in a Broadway production of Into the Woods, he will be in the upcoming Doctor Who special, and now, it’s looking like he might have a role on the new series How I Met Your Father.
How I Met Your Father is the spin off of the nine season series How I Met Your Mother where Neil Patrick Harris played the Legendary Barney Stinson.
Season two of the spin off premiered three nights ago, and at the very end of the season opener, Barney made a surprise cameo.
Whether he’s going to have a large role carved out for him is uncertain, but the way the story was set up and how Barney was reintroduced, it seems to give him quite the opportunity for a larger role should he want to take it.
Speaking of new series, Daisy Jones and the Six, an Amazon Prime series that is supposedly based off of the infamous story of Fleetwood Mac, just dropped its first official teaser.
The show is based off of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel of the same name and takes place in the ‘70s, keeping love and music at its forefront. Along with the trailer, they’ve also dropped the first single from the series, which you can listen to here. I think you listeners will love it!
Check out the video below if you want to see the teaser for the series.
As for music, a few new performers for the Super Bowl have been announced: country singer Chris Stapleton will be performing the National Anthem, R&B producer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds will be performing America the Beautiful, and Sheryl Lee Ralph will be performing Lift Every Voice and Sing. And of course, Rihanna will be performing at the Halftime Show.
Lastly, since announcing her new tour last week, it has also been released that Madonna’s biopic will not be moving forward at this time. The film was supposed to star Julia Garner, but in order to let Madonna focus on her tour, production has been halted and it isn’t confirmed whether it will be picked up again.
The film was supposed to detail Madonna’s career as she struggled to navigate her career as a female in a man’s world as she rose to stardom.
Fear not though, you Madonna fans can still get your Madonna fix LIVE in Boston when she performs two shows at the TD garden later this summer on August 30th and 31st. You can purchase tickets here.
