This week, The Buzz is dominated by the film and tv world.
Talks of a new Madonna biopic have been on the rise for awhile now, but it seems things are finally starting to really come together.
While the project’s release date is still unknown, word on the street is that Julia Garner, star of the recent Netflix drama Inventing Anna, will be playing Madonna in the film.
Madonna herself has been deeply involved in production, even going so far as to hold Madonna Bootcamp which consisted of 11-hour choreography sessions and singing auditions.
In terms of what the movie will be about, Madonna has said, “I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer—a human being, trying to make her way in this world,” she said in a statement. “The focus of this film will always be music. Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me. It’s essential to share the roller coaster ride of my life with my voice and vision.”
Moving on from Madonna, it should come as no surprise that the Marvel Universe is continuing to expand. Before the end of 2022, there are eight anticipated new releases, including a new Thor movie, She-Hulk, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

I’ve been so excited about being able to see movies on the big screen again and it seems like I’m not the only one.
Two big recent releases are Top Gun: Maverick, which came out a couple of weeks ago, and Jurassic World Domination, which was released today, starring Chris Pratt and Laura Dern.
The new Top Gun movie is doing so well in the box office, making it Tom Cruise’s highest grossing movie in the box office, surpassing $300M after this past weekend.
If you have some time this weekend, take the opportunity to settle back into the movie theater and fall back into the film world.
See you back here next week for The Buzz!
