I can’t believe it’s already the time of year where we’re going to be talking about Christmas again, but I saw this week that The Elf Experience is headed to Rockefeller Center this Holiday Season. Starting on November 14th, fans of the movie Elf will be able to head to NYC to visit a fully immersive Elf experience – you’ll start by meeting one of Santa’s helpers, then enter Papa Elf’s storybook from the film, then head to the North Pole.
You’ll see familiar landscapes like the Candy Cane Forest, the Sea of Swirly Twirly Gumdrops, Gimbels, and more! There will be numerous photo opportunities, a range of merchandise, and tickets are on sale now!
I checked ticket sales this morning and there is tons of availability at the moment, so if you’re interested, I’d buy those tickets early. You can grab them here.
Toys ‘R’ Us also announced recently that they will be opening 120 new stores in time for the Holiday Season, so if you miss shopping in store and the nostalgia of Toys ‘R’ Us, you have something big to look forward to!
Something else that might tug at the nostalgia is the new Netflix series Wonka’s The Golden Ticket which premieres on Wednesday. The show will feature 12 lucky golden ticket winners who enter the gates of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and must navigate through Wonka’s temptations and challenges.
If you’re looking for something to watch this weekend, the new season of Monster is out now, which is The Lizzie Borden Story. This is the fourth season of Ryan Murphy’s true crime series and this season examines the ways in which one young woman’s story changed what the world thought a killer could be. How to Survive Without Me, starring Joshua Jackson, Ray Romano, and Kaley Cuoco, has been in the works for a little bit now, but it was confirmed this week that the family drama has received a 15-episode order at HBO Max! There is still no release schedule at the moment, but hopefully we will be seeing that series soon. It’s following in the footsteps of the very successful series The Pitt, meaning that the aim is for one season to be released per year, much like a normal broadcast schedule on television.
As for movies, the adaptation of Rebecca Serle’s novel One Italian Summer is set for a Mother’s Day Weekend release in 2028! And yes, I know this seems far away, but with the beauty in this novel, I think the adaptation will be well worth the wait! If you haven’t read the book yet, click here for more details! It’s a beautiful novel in itself, but if you’re a mother with a daughter (or a daughter who is close with her mother), it will really pack a punch.

If you’re a fan of Rosie O’Donnell, she will be headed back to Broadway after 21 years away, to appear in Rocky Horror! She will be in the show from October 6th-18th.
