Contrary to what we thought last week, Frankie Valli says he’s not retired after all. He posted on Instagram late last week saying, “In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired. – Frankie.” So, hopefully, next year, as long as he’s healthy enough, we’ll see him back in the music business!
Something else we’ll see next year is the 10 Things I Hate About You musical, which is headed to Broadway next August. Lena Dunham and Carly Rae Jepsen have teamed up together on the project.
If you’re looking for something to watch this weekend, the final season of Outer Banks is out on Netflix now! I also heard that there’s a prequel series in the works which will take place 20 years before the original series, before the hunt for gold. It’s supposed to be about how the island split into Kooks vs. Pogues.
If you’re a fan of Stephen King, It: Welcome to Derry (HBO) has been renewed for season 2! This new season will take place 27 years prior to season 1, in 1935. The creative team has pitched a 3 season arc, with each season taking place 27 years prior to the previous one (aligned with the It’s hunting cycle), so hopefully we will see a third season in the future as well.
The new Prime series Sterling Point has also been renewed for a second season – if you haven’t seen the show yet, the entire first season is available now! It’s one of my favorite releases of the year so far!
