Happy Friday! Welcome back to another edition of The Buzz, brought to you by Dini’s tinis!
A surprise episode of The Bear dropped this week called Gary on Hulu! You can watch it here. It’s an hour long about Mikey Berzatto and his “cousin” Richie. This episode dropped ahead of the season 5 premiere on June 25th.
Paul McCartney is releasing an album on May 29th called The Boys of Dungeon Lane, his first album since 2020. A single from the album was released today called Home to Us, which features Ringo Starr! You can listen to that here.
If you’re looking for a movie to watch this weekend, Sheep Detectives is out in theaters today starring Hugh Jackman. Remarkably Bright Creatures is out on Netflix today, based off of the book by Shelby Van Pelt. Both are great family movies!
There are also some really exciting adaptations coming – a Funny Story movie is in the works based off of Emily Henry’s novel of the same name. Henry is penning the script. A film adaptation based off of Lynn Painter’s novel Better Than the Movies is also in the works at Netflix.
Lastly – and this is the one I’m most excited for – they’ve started to announce casting for the second season of We Were Liars and let me just say… This casting is UNBELIEVABLE. The first season took place in modern day, but the second season is taking place in 1999, which means they’ve had to cast younger versions of some of the characters we met in season 1. You can check out the full list of casting news here, but take a look at the photo below of the side by side casting of the adult actors and the new younger characters. They did an INCREDIBLE job.
