4th of July 2022

4th of July 2022

The 4th of July is upon us and we can finally say it’s officially Summer! Here at Easy 99.1, we love celebrating the 4th of July and we have some suggestions of things for you to do to celebrate too!

Looking for some 4th of July fun right here in Plymouth? Start off the day at the town’s 7th annual 5k. The race starts at 7:30am at Stephens Field and all proceeds go to supporting the Town of Plymouth’s 4th of July events. Click here for more information or to register for the race.

Afterwards, stick around for a 4th of July parade starting at 9am. The parade starts at Cordage Park at 10 Cordage Park Circle. Then later on, go over to the DCR Pilgrim State Memorial Park for the Plymouth Philharmonic at 7:30pm followed by fireworks at 9pm. To find out more, visit this page.

The town of Hingham is also hosting a Parade on the 4th of July starting at 10am at Hingham High school at the intersection of Middle Street and Pleasant Street. The parade theme is “History Happens Here.” Happening rain or shine. For more information visit this website.

Spending the 4th on the Cape? Come to Chatham, MA for a 4th of July parade staring at the intersection of Shore Road and Main Street. For more information visit this site.

There are also a handful of fireworks displays planned for the 4th on the Cape.

In Orleans, you can see fireworks at Rock Harbor on July 1st. If it rains, they will reschedule for Tuesday, July 5th.

In Chatham, Veterans Field will be hosting a firework event around 9pm on July 2nd.

You can also see a fireworks display in Sandwich on July 4th at 9:30pm, which celebrates the end to a long day of 4th of July celebrations in Sandwich including a street parade, boat parade, road race, band concert, and picnic.

If you’re in Falmouth, you can see fireworks at Falmouth Heights Beach at dusk on the 4th (or the 5th if it rains) – and this display is a cool one because if you have access to a radio, you can tune into PIXY 103 (102.9 FM) to hear music to go along with the fireworks.

Provincetown is also having a fireworks event on the night of the 4th.

If you’re from Massachusetts, you know the 4th of July in Boston is not the same without the Boston Pops Spectacular! Have fun on the esplanade or enjoy from home on WHDH-TV Channel 7 and Bloomberg TV and radio from 8-11pm. This year is even more special not only because this is Keith Lockhart’s 27th year as the conductor for the Boston Pops, but because this is the first time in three years that the orchestra is able to play in person at the Charles River Esplanade. You won’t want to miss this! Find out more at the Boston Pops website.

Lastly, for our RI listeners, there’s no shortage of events for you either! Head down to Bristol and enjoy a parade at 10:30am on the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street route 114. To find out more about the parade visit their page here.

Are you from Southern RI? You can enjoy some fireworks right down in Newport Harbor. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:15pm on the night of the 4th. For more information visit this website.

Have a great 4th of July!
