St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations 2022

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations 2022

For those of us who live in Massachusetts, St. Patrick’s Day is one of the most looked forward to days of the year.

If you’re looking for ways to celebrate this year, we have some suggestions for you.

If you’re from the South Shore, you’ll want to be sure to check out South Shore Pottery Shop. They’re a locally owned pottery shop in Abington, MA and are always crafting events to bring the community together.

For St. Patrick’s Day, they’re hosting a glass painting and cookie decorating event. If you attend, you will be guided through decorating four of your own St. Patrick’s Day cookies by Justine Rota, the owner of Sweet Standards, a bakery in Whitman, MA. In addition, you will also be able to paint a wine glass or a stein.

This event is on March 16th 6:30pm. You must sign up in advance and tickets can be purchased here.

Also on the South Shore, the town of Marshfield is hosting their 12th Annual Marshfield St. Patrick’s Day 5k on March 19th benefiting the Marshfield Education Foundation.

Wear your green and come together with the South Shore community for this special event – there’s even the opportunity to win cash prizes for participants. There will also be post-race celebrations at pubs and restaurants in Brant Rock.

More information about the Cape Cod parade can be found here. Abington, MA, Scituate, MA, Worcester, MA, and Providence, RI will also be hosting parades the weekend of March 19th and 20th in addition to a couple of other cities as well. Information for those parades as well as Boston’s can be found here

Lastly, Boston will also be hosting the Dropkick Murphys at the House of Blues on Saturday, March 19th in addition to numerous St. Patrick’s Day themed pub crawls. There will also be a road race the morning of March 20th in Boston and more information can be found here
