'She is one of the most loving dogs I ever met': Man adopts dog he saved after stabbing
Sit sit, She's bounding with energy. She's one of the most loving dogs I've ever met and learning new tricks, but how this pit bull puppy got here is one heck of a tale. The stab wound penetrated so deep into her neck that it It damaged her trachea. The one that went into her neck was right here. Smoke was allegedly stabbed by her owner on May 18. She escaped and found her way under Brad Chambers truck in downtown Portsmouth, where she was minutes away from death. The good samaritan saving her life. It was air escaping her trachea into her long and and chest cavity around her heart. Smoke was rushed to an animal hospital in Suffolk but eventually had to cross state lines and undergo surgery at N. C. State's College of Veterinary Medicine. She's recovered almost fully from all the surgeries and she's got a ton of energy and her loyalty is pretty solid. Her road to recovery cost a whopping 15 0 sum from Chambers the other from fundraising sit. Good girl, she's a stab wound survivor and a pretty rough part of town of Portsmouth. And I think that smoke fits her, her legacy pretty well. Her owner facing animal cruelty charges, forfeited ownership Chambers, her lifesaver stepped in. Stay with me. There you go. Brad Chambers didn't just save a badly injured dog from death. He gave her a forever home.Chambers found a pitbull named Smoke badly bleeding from stab wounds under his truck in Portsmouth, Virginia. "The stab wound penetrated so deep into her neck that it damaged her trachea," Chambers told WTKR. Chambers said Smoke's owner was accused of stabbing the dog. The injuries were so severe that "air was escaping her chest cavity going into her lungs and heart."First, Smoke was rushed to a nearby animal hospital. Eventually, she had surgery in North Carolina. Her medical procedures cost $15,000. Some of that was covered by Chambers, while the rest came from fundraising. Now, Chambers said Smoke is making steady progress."She has recovered almost fully from all the surgeries and she has tons of energy and her loyalty is pretty solid," he said. "She is one of the most loving dogs I ever met."Smoke's former owner, who is now facing animal cruelty charges, forfeited ownership. Chambers adopted her.
