Santa Cruz deputy saves choking baby in Watsonville
A Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputy is being credited with saving an infant's life in Watsonville. Deputy Christopher Jones was quick to respond to a call of a choking infant, beating emergency medical workers to the area of the call. Once on scene, Jones found the 6-week-old girl in the back seat of a car with the mother holding her.Jones cradled the baby facedown in his left arm and patted her back, causing a buildup of mucous and milk to become dislodged and allowing the baby to breath, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office reported. Days later Jones visited on the family to check on the baby girl (photo above).
