WEBVTT VICTIM AND GUNMAN IN THIS CASE WERE BROTHERS.. THE GUNMAN HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS 27 YEAR OLD MARC EDWARD NALL. THE VICTIM WAS SHOT IN HIS HOME AT THE END OF DEL MONTE FARMS ROAD HERE IN IN THE PRUNEDALE, CASTROVILLE AREA. NEIGHBORS I SPOKE WITH SAY THE SHOOTING WAS IN A HOME BEYOND THIS GATE.. AND THERE ARE SEVERAL HOMES ON THAT PROPERTY. THE MONTEREY COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAID THE VICTIM DIED AT THE SCENE, DESPITE THEIR EFFORTS TO SAVE. NALL.. THE VICTM'S BROTHER AND THE BROTHER IN THIS CASE.. WAS ALSO FOUND AT THE HOME.. AT THIS POINT THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS THEY DON'T HAVE A MOTIVE IN THE SHOOTING .. AS THEY CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE. 446201 1:43 "The call was mulitple shot. I don't necessarily have a hard number. We typically don't go into how many times somebody was shot in any particular case, but the initial call was multiple shots fired." AT THIS POINT IT'S STILL UNCLEAR WHAT KIND OF GUN WAS USED IN THE SHOOTING.. AND IF THE WEAPON WAS FOUND AT ALL. LOOKING THROUGH COURT DOCUMENTS.. LAST YEAR NALL WAS CHARGED WITH 2 MISDEMEANORS. NALL IS BEING HELD IN THE MONTEREY COUNTY JAIL ON 1- MILLION DOLLARS BAIL.

-Video from previous broadcast. A 30-year-old Salinas man has been sentenced for his brother's murder. Mark Nall was given a 15 year sentenced for the shooting death of his brother. Nall pleaded guilty in April, 2021, to charges of voluntary manslaughter. In January of 2019 Nall visited his brother's home when they shared drinks before an argument broke out. Nall left the home and returned with a handgun. He shot his brother seven times. Before rendering the 15-year sentence, Judge Vazquez heard victim impact statements from the victim’s family and friends.
