REMEMBER IT’S HARD TO STOP IT. AND 11 YEAR OLD BOY FROM GREENVILLE HAS WRITTEN A BOOK TO HELP CHILDREN COPING WITH GRIEF. HIS MOTHER WAS A BELOVED TEACHER AT JL MANN HIGH SCHOOL. SHE PASSED AWAY IN 2015 FROM OVARIAN. AND HIS BOOK IS TITLED THE GOOD MORNING. PUBLISHED THIS WEEK DESTINY CHANCE SAT DOWN WITH THE YOUNG AUTH. AND THEY HELP ME SCO. SHE WAS REALLY REALLY OUTGOING. SHE IS REALLY NICE. SHE LOVED EVERYBODY EQUALLY NO MATTER THE AGE. WE ALL GRIEVE. SHELDON PAID IN THE SECOND SAYS HE MISSES HIS MOTHER KATHY PEYTON EVERY DAY. HE WAS JUST FIVE YEARS OLD WHEN SHE LOST HER BATTLE TO OVARIAN CANCER SIX YEARS AGO NEAR AND DEAR TOO MANY KATHY WAS CHAIR OF THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT AT JAIL MANN HIGH SCHOOL THIS PORTRAIT HANGS IN THE HALLWAY OUTSIDE OF THE LIBRARY. SHE FREQUENTED SELDEN PAID IN TAKING A PAGE OUT OF HIS OWN BOOK AND TURNING IT INTO A TOOL FOR HEALING. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT EVEN WHEN WE WERE SUFFERING AND HURTING IT DOES NOT EXCUSE. MEAN AGGRESSIVE OR DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR THAT IS WHY WE MUST FIND OR CREATE POSITIVE WAYS TO REALLY START PAIN AND GRIEF. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO GETTING TO KNOW YOUR GOOD MORNING THIS WEEK THE 11 YEAR OLD PUBLISHED. HIS FIRST BOOK CALLED THE GOOD MORNING A KID’S SUPPORT GUIDE FOR GRIEF AND MOURNING DEATH FOR KIDS BY A KID ILLUSTRATED BY WHIMSICAL DESIGNS BY CJ OUT OF COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA. I THINK PHOTOS CAN REALLY THAT’S HOW YOU FEEL. SOMETIMES SELDEN IS PART OF A GRIEF GROUP AT HIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. HE SAYS HE LIKES TO REMIND THEM GETTING TO YOUR GOOD MORNING WILL TAKE TIME IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE MEAN OR DISRESPECTFUL OR DISOBEDIENT BECAUSE YOU CAN HURT PEOPLE THAT YOU LOVE. HE SAYS THE SUPPORT FROM HIS FATHER AND BROTHERS HAS KEPT HIM GOING AND FEELS HIS MOM IS STILL WITH HIM EVERY DAY. I THINK SHE LIKE HOW I’M TRYING TO EXPRESS HOW I FEEL SOMETIMES AND TRYING TO HELP OTHER KIDS DESTINY CHANCE WYFF NEWS 4; GREENVILLE. AND AS THE HEAD OF THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT, YOU KNOW, HIS MOTHER WOULD BE SO PROUD. A South Carolina boy has written a book about grief after losing his mother to cancer.Seldon Peden II says he misses his mother, Cathy Peden, every day.He was just 5 years old when she lost her battle to ovarian cancer, six years ago.Near and dear to many, Cathy was Chair of the English Department at JL Mann High School in Greenville.Seldon is taking a page out of his own book, and turning it into a tool for healing."It's important to know even when we are suffering and hurting, it does not excuse mean or disrespectful or aggressive behavior," he says. "This is why we must find or create positive ways to release our pain and grief. This is important in getting to know your 'Good Mourning.'"This week the 11-year-old student published his first book called, “The Good Mourning: A kid’s support guide for grief and mourning death for kids, by a kid.”It was illustrated by “Whimsical Designs by CJ” out of Columbia, South Carolina."I think photos can really express how you feel sometimes," Seldon says.Seldon is part of a grief group at his elementary school.
