Pacific Grove police detectives have asked for the public's assistance in their investigation of a fatal crash at the City of Pacific Grove Public Works Yard on Saturday. The Pacific Grove Police Department said the car was traveling southbound on Grove Acre Avenue when it hit a curb and crashed through the public works chain link fence and into the building. Both the car and the building engulfed in flames. The car was destroyed and there is major damage to the building, according to the department. The driver died on the scene."We are asking any residents located on Grove Acre Avenue to review their camera footage from late Friday night at around 12:45 am until 1:05 am early Saturday morning, to see if they might have footage of the vehicle prior to the crash. If you have camera footage, or any additional information, please call us at 831-648-3143," ask the police department on Facebook.
