Nonprofit donates 200 guitars for South Monterey County schools

The money for the instruments was raised locally during the Monterey County Gives event. "Guitars Not Guns" is a national nonprofit with a branch in Monterey County.
Ten school districts will be getting the "Keith Urban Yamaha Guitars."
Organizers of the donations say the goal of the program is to help students.
"We were donated $25,000 this past year from 200 donors, large and small. And our big idea was to give these guitars to school districts that needed them," said Steve Vagnini with Monterey County Gives.
The nonprofit says this is the largest all-at-once guitar donation they've ever done.
