Mossila Kingsley Gaba, affectionately known as Mo, was born on Jan. 26, 2006, in Baltimore, Maryland. He developed a love for Baltimore sports, and that, combined with his magnetic personality, was how many across the city were first introduced to him. Before he could celebrate his first birthday, Mo was forced to overcome serious obstacles. He was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma, a malignant tumor of the retina. Mo lost his eyesight at just 9 months old and would battle cancer multiple times throughout his childhood.
