Police say singer is aware of the arrest warrant and has made no effort to turn himself in

Brian Hugh Warner, known as the singer Marilyn Manson, has an active arrest warrant for two counts of class A misdemeanor assault in New Hampshire.Gilford Police Chief Anthony Bean Burpee told sister station WMUR that Manson was performing a concert at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on Aug. 18, 2019 when the alleged simple assaults involving a videographer happened. The arrest warrant was issued on Oct. 8, 2019. Manson, his agent and legal council have been notified several times about the open warrant and have made no effort to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges, Bean Burpee said.Manson's attorney, Howard E. King, issued a statement to WMUR on Wednesday:"It is no secret to anyone who has attended a Marilyn Manson concert that he likes to be provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera. This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm. After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply. "This whole claim is ludicrous, but we remain committed to cooperating with authorities, as we have done throughout." The videographer was subcontracted by a New Hampshire-based company to record the concert and was in the state pit area when the alleged assaults happened.Police did not release the name of the company or the alleged victim and said the arrest warrant and related police reports are not being released at this time. Deanna Rodger attended the concert and was close to the stage. Rodger said she saw disturbing behavior from Manson that could relate to the charges."He had just been randomly spitting on people out into the crowd, and one time, he spit on this camerawoman. Not on her, but on her camera," Rodger said.Rodger said she saw Manson spit on the camera multiple times with the videographer repeatedly cleaning her camera. Rodger said she saw Manson get on all fours and spit at the camera from a close range."It was appalling and disgusting, and she was very, very mad, which I understand because I would've been mad, too, and disgusted," Rodger said. "And then, she just grabbed her camera and stormed off."Police did not directly confirm that incident described by Rodger was what led to the charges.A class A misdemeanor in New Hampshire carries a possible jail sentence of less than one year and a fine of up to $2,000, according to Bean Burpee, who emphasized that the alleged assaults were not sexual in nature. In late April, actress Esmé Blanco filed a lawsuit against Manson, accusing Manson of sexually assaulting, coercing through drugs and beating her multiple times during their relationship a decade ago.Actress Evan Rachel Wood, who became engaged to Manson in 2010, claimed on Instagram that Manson "horrifically abused" her for "years" when she was a teenager.Manson responded to Wood’s allegation in his own Instagram post, writing "these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth."

Gilford Police Chief Anthony Bean Burpee told sister station WMUR that Manson was performing a concert at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on Aug. 18, 2019 when the alleged simple assaults involving a videographer happened.

The arrest warrant was issued on Oct. 8, 2019. Manson, his agent and legal council have been notified several times about the open warrant and have made no effort to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges, Bean Burpee said.

Manson's attorney, Howard E. King, issued a statement to WMUR on Wednesday:

Police did not release the name of the company or the alleged victim and said the arrest warrant and related police reports are not being released at this time.

Deanna Rodger attended the concert and was close to the stage. Rodger said she saw disturbing behavior from Manson that could relate to the charges.

"He had just been randomly spitting on people out into the crowd, and one time, he spit on this camerawoman. Not on her, but on her camera," Rodger said.

Rodger said she saw Manson spit on the camera multiple times with the videographer repeatedly cleaning her camera. Rodger said she saw Manson get on all fours and spit at the camera from a close range.

"It was appalling and disgusting, and she was very, very mad, which I understand because I would've been mad, too, and disgusted," Rodger said. "And then, she just grabbed her camera and stormed off."

Police did not directly confirm that incident described by Rodger was what led to the charges.

A class A misdemeanor in New Hampshire carries a possible jail sentence of less than one year and a fine of up to $2,000, according to Bean Burpee, who emphasized that the alleged assaults were not sexual in nature.

In late April, actress Esmé Blanco filed a lawsuit against Manson, accusing Manson of sexually assaulting, coercing through drugs and beating her multiple times during their relationship a decade ago.

Actress Evan Rachel Wood, who became engaged to Manson in 2010, claimed on Instagram that Manson "horrifically abused" her for "years" when she was a teenager.

Manson responded to Wood’s allegation in his own Instagram post, writing "these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth."
