Man who allegedly stole car, shot at by officers in Salinas identified

Scott Lewis Delcastillo, 41, has been charged with attempted murder, vehicle theft, and carrying loaded firearm. Delcastillo's bail has been set at $4 million. Two Salinas police officers are on administrative leave. California Highway Patrol and Salinas Police officers fired their guns during a stolen car chase in Salinas Monday afternoon, police said. According to law enforcement officials, officers fired at the suspect inside the stolen vehicle. No one was injured.
