THERE ARE A LOT OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS AFTER AN 18 YEAR OLD WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH 5 COUNTS OF ATTEMPTED MURDER IN KING CITY. POLICE SAY A SECURITY CAMERA, IN A NEIGHBORHOOD PARKING ALLEY, JUST A SHORT WALK AWAY FROM A SCHOOL, ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT ANDREW MARES ON CAMERA IN BROAD DAYLIGHT OPENING FIRE ON A CAR FILLED WITH FIVE PEOPLE. NO ONE WAS INJURED AND THE SCHOOL DISTRICT SAYS NO STUDENTS WERE ON CAMPUS. <I DON'T KNOW WHAT MAKES SOMEBODY DO THAT. I MEAN THERE ARE A LOT OF BAD SHOOTING IN THE US AND HERE IT IS HAPPENING CLOSE BY NEAR MY NEIGHBORHOOD> THE TEENAGER WAS LATER ARRESTED ACROSS TOWN IN THE WOMAN'S NEIGHBORHOOD. POLICE FOUND HIS CAR ON TALBOT STREET, AND ARRESTED HIM INSIDE A HOME. <I'M CURIOUS TO KNOW IF HE LIVES HERE OR IF HE'S ASSOCIATED WITH SOMEONE HERE. THAT KIND OF BOTHERS ME.> POLICE SAY THEY DON'T HAVE A MOTIVE. FORMER COUNCILWOMAN, MARGARITA LOPEZ SAYS SHE KNOWS THE SHOOTER. HIS FAMILY MEMBER IS A PART OF HER CHURCH GROUP. <WE'RE MORE CLOSE TO THIS FAMILY THAN OTHER FAMILIES, BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE. WE'RE HERE TO SUPPORT THE VICTIMS AND ANYONE THAT NEEDS OUR HELP> THE SHOOTING COMES JUST A MONTH AFTER A MASS SHOOTING IN KING CITY, WHEN 4 PEOPLE WERE GUNNED DOWN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT ON THEIR FRONT YARD WHILE AT A PARTY. LAST WEEK POLICE ANNOUNCED THAT SHOOTING WAS GANG RELATED AND IS CONNECTED TO TWO RECENT MURDERS IN SOLEDAD. LOPEZ AND HER CHURCH GROUP HAVE BEEN RAISING MONEY FOR THE KING CITY VICTIMS' FAMILIES. <ANY PART OF YOU CONCERNED THAT THE MASS SHOOTING THAT HAPPENED AND THIS ARE CONNECTED? YES, THERE'S ALWAYS THAT CONCERN ABOUT I HAVE FAITH IN THE CITY> KING CITY POLICE DENIED TO COMMENT ON WHETHER THERE'S A CONNECTION WITH THIS MOST RECENT SHOOTING, AND KSBW IS WAITING TO HEAR FROM THE COUNTY SHERIFF.
