HOME. SUSAN: THE NUMBER OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE HERE. SHE DISAPPEARED 10 MONTHS AGO AS OF TODAY. THE LANCASTER COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY SAYS HUMAN REMAINS WERE FOUND IN THE EASTERN PART OF THE COUNTY, AND SHE SAYS THEY ARE RELATED TO THE SEARCH FOR LINDA. JUSTO SMOKER IS BEING HELD WITH ONE COUNT OF HOMICIDE IN THIS CASE. HE WAS CHARGED, EVEN THOUGH NOBODY HAD BEEN FOUND. SHE DISAPPEARED TUNED 21ST 2020. SHE WAS WALKING HOME TO HER HOME FROM A NEARBY FARM. SHE HAD BEEN IN CHURCH THAT DAY, HAD BEEN WITH SOME OTHER GIRLS AND THEN WALK HOME ALONE. SINCE THAT TIME, SURVEILLANCE VIDEO WAS FOUND. CLOTHING WAS ALSO FOUND THAT BELONGED TO LINDA, THAT WAS FOUND. WE ARE TOLD THE HUMAN RAINS WERE FOUND IN THE EASTERN PART OF THE COUNTY, NEAR WHERE COUSTEAU -- JUSTO WORKED. THERE WERE EXTENSIVE SEARCHES. THIS CASE IS GOING TO BE A LOT EASIER TO PROSECUTE IF THESE HUMAN REMAINS ARE FORENSICALLY DETERMINED TO BE THAT OF LINDA. THE DA SAYS SHE WILL BE HOLDING A NEWS CONFERENCE ABOUT THE CASE TOMORROW. THAT IS THE LATEST HERE ENDING

The district attorney said human remains have been found in eastern Lancaster County as part of a search in connection with the disappearance of Linda Stoltzfoos.Members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, East Lampeter Township Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police have been on the scene. The district attorney said the scene will be forensically processed, and the remains will be released to the Lancaster County coroner for official identification and determination of the cause and manner of death.Wednesday marks 10 months since Stoltzfoos disappeared. The 18-year-old was last seen June 21 walking home from church in the Bird-in-Hand area.Justo Smoker is charged with homicide and is in prison awaiting trial. A news conference about the Stoltzfoos investigation is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday.
