"This has been a long time coming. I have been able to do some camps in the past but those were quite a few years ago. I felt like this was the time for me to give back to my community," Garcia said.
Garcia is a four-time Pro Bowl player and spent five seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He says he is excited to work with the kids and reignite his relationship with Gilroy.
"I want to get back into the community and reach out to the youth. I want to show them my face. I want to get them to experience being around me and how I approach the game," Garcia said.
