Fulton Police Chief Steve Myers is saying based on what his department knows now they do not believe Tori Taylor was kidnapped.
Chief Myers spoke at a press conference yesterday (Wednesday) and said over 20 law enforcement agencies helped on the case.
Taylor was arrested in Centralia, Illinois on Tuesday on 2 outstanding warrants from Missouri.
Fulton Police originally thought Taylor was a victim of a kidnapping after she was last seen in Montgomery County for a virtual court date on April 20th.
Police responded to a report of a possible kidnapping on April 26th.
At the time, police believed three men pulled a woman matching Taylor’s description into a car on 10th Street in Fulton.
Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism said his office has been working with Illinois authorities to facilitate the extradition process.
