VIDEO: Passengers help hold man down on flight who attempted to break into cockpit
Officials with the Albuquerque International Sunport said a flight was diverted to Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a passenger tried to break into the cockpit.
The Delta Air Lines flight was traveling from Los Angeles to Nashville when the passenger unsuccessfully attempted to breach the cockpit.
Video obtained by Albuquerque sister station KOAT shows several passengers holding down the unruly man in the aisle of the plane.
The flight landed in Albuquerque around 2:20 p.m. Friday local time and the passenger was arrested by airport police.
"The passenger was not successful. The plane landed safely and the passenger was removed by police and the FBI. He is in custody now," Delta Air Lines said in a statement.
No one was injured and the plane is back en route to Nashville.
The FBI has taken over the investigation.
