Update: Fire burning inside CZU Lightning Complex burn scar now contained
Update:
The Sandy Fire is now contained at 11.75 acres according to Cal Fire.
The fire was reported yesterday and was burning within the CZU Lightning Complex fire footprint in the Big Basin area. Cal fire says this was a flare-up from last year's lightning fire and says they will continue to see flare-ups like this one.
The fire did not threaten any structure.
Crews will remain on scene to continue to mop up and monitor.

Cal Fire is working to contain a fire burning inside the CZU Lightning Complex burn scar.
According to Cal Fire on Twitter, the Sandy Fire is a "creeping ground fire" burning in the area of Big Basin.
The fire was reported as 7-10 acres as of 5:40 p.m.
A helicopter is being used to douse the flames.
