A brand new arts event is coming to Monterey County. The Sunset Cultural Center in Carmel is announcing the inaugural season of the 2021 Carmel Dance Festival. The freshman season will take place outdoors in an innovatively designed setting at a private property in Carmel Valley. This year's first event will feature Chicago-based contemporary ballet company PARA.MAR Dance Theatre.Organizers say the program will include new works, master classes, and five-day workshops in conjunction with the ballet company performances. ​Intimate evening performances will be paired with wine and hors d'oeuvres. For the matinee performances, guests will have the opportunity to attend a Coffee and Conversation session with the choreographer before the performance.Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, June 4 at 12 pm..
