McDonald's is joining the effort to get more people vaccinated against COVID-19. The state is working with more than 70 locations across California to provide shots at the restaurants to employees, their families and customers alike. Some locations will host a one-day event while others will offer multiple clinic dates. There is no need to make an appointment. Organizers say to just walk up, get your vaccine and a free menu item of your choice. In northern California, select McDonald's in Sacramento, Fairfield, Vacaville, Suisun City and Woodland are among the locations taking part this week. For a complete list of McDonald's pop-up vaccination sites, visit www.CAMcDEvents.com. The pop-up sites were selected because they're considered high-traffic areas in parts of the state that have experienced lower vaccination rates, health officials say.
