Update 8:20 p.m.: Highway’s 101 northbound lanes in Salinas have reopened. Southbound lanes are still closed. Caltrans has no estimated time of reopening the southbound lanes. —————————————————- A big rig fire in Salinas has closed Highway 101 in both direction. According to Caltrans on Twitter, the both lanes of Highway 101 are closed at West Laurel Drive in Salinas after a semi-truck on fire. Initially only the southbound lane had been closed.
