Video: Taco Bell manager saves baby who stopped breathing in the drive-thru
Video shows the moment a Philadelphia-area Taco Bell manager saved a customer's baby who stopped breathing in the drive-thru.Natasha Long told WPVI she had finished some errands and stopped at Taco Bell for food when she noticed her 11-week-old son, Myles, struggling to breathe in the back seat of the car.She described it as "the scariest moment of my entire life." "I pulled him out and he turned completely blue and was lifeless and at that point, I just completely blacked out. I didn't know what to do."Becky Arbaugh, the Taco Bell manager, heard what was happening and rushed to give Myles CPR. "I threw my headset. I ran outside. So I took the baby and I started to do chest compressions on the baby. And then he finally started to breathe," Arbaugh said. While Long described Arbaugh's actions as those of a guardian angel, Arbaugh said her experiences as a mom allowed her to help. "When my kids were little, my daughter had similar incidents so I knew what she was feeling. So I knew if I just kept her calm and I stayed calm — there was no thought in my mind that the baby wasn't going to breathe again," Arbaugh said. Myles was able to start breathing again and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Long said doctors are still trying to determine what happened to him. In the meantime, Long has been sending videos and photos to Arbaugh to keep her updated on Myles' progress. "We couldn't be more grateful to Becky. She saved my son's life," Long said. "I just thought myself as a mom with another mom that needed help," Arbaugh said. Watch the video above to learn more about this story.
