Pilot and dog swim to safety after plane crashes off California coast
A small plane made an emergency landing into the ocean off the coast of Southern California over the weekend.The plane went down near the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, about 30 miles outside downtown Los Angeles. The pilot and his dog were able to swim to shore. Neither were hurt in the crash. Aerial video above shows the pilot with his dog talking to investigators.The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the pair were flying from Santa Monica to Long Beach, when one of the engines failed. The plane later sank into the ocean.
