Happy Friday and welcome back to another edition of The Buzz, brought to you by Dini’s tinis!
Amazon Prime and Prime Video dominated headlines this week. Upfronts took place earlier this week, giving the network an opportunity to promote upcoming programs.
One of their biggest ones is Off Campus, which premiered on the streamer on Wednesday! As I’m sure you can guess, I did sit down and binge the series on Wednesday and all I have to say is… I! Recommend! I absolutely LOVED the show. It’s based off of a book series by Elle Kennedy (which I’d also recommend if you like romance!) and the series was cast to absolute perfection. I was able to meet some of the cast last weekend and they were so kind and so excited for the show to premiere, which made it all the more exciting. Check out the trailer below.
Another big one is Every Year After, a series based off of Carley Fortune’s best selling novel Every Summer After (one of my favorite books of. all. time.) The first season drops on Prime on June 10th! I’ll link the trailer below.
Some other fun TV news –
- The Rookie: North, a spin off of The Rookie, is set to premiere next year. Nathan Fillion, star of The Rookie, is set to appear in the first episode and will also be an executive producer on the series. It’s looking like it will be 10 episodes, take place in the Pacific Northwest, and have space for several crossovers with The Rookie.
- Pop Culture Jeopardy returned this week. The season is on Netflix and looks like it will drop an episode every day, much like the original series.
- The fifth and final season of Sweet Magnolias is dropping on Netflix on June 11th and you can now see the trailer here
- My Life with the Walter Boys is renewed for a 4th season on Netflix, ahead of the season 3 premiere
- We got our first look at the new Big Bang Theory spin off, which will premiere on HBO Max on July 23rd, check it out here
