This was a relatively quiet week, coming off a very eventful Oscars weekend.
We lost another shining star in Hollywood this week – news dropped this morning that Chuck Norris has passed away. If you’re not hooked on March Madness this weekend, there’s no shortage of Chuck Norris projects, most of which are available for streaming!
Another big thing that happened this week was the cancellation of the upcoming season of the Bachelorette.
Otherwise, the week was filled with announcements of upcoming projects.
I’ll list them here:
- Jason Bateman will be directing The Cackling of the Dodos starring Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell
- There is a documentary about musician Noah Kahan coming to Netflix April 13th
- A Care Bears movie on the way from Warner Brothers
- Incredibles 3 is coming June 16, 2028
- Lilo & Stitch 2 is coming May 26, 2028
- Hudson Williams has joined the cast of Netflix limited series The Altruists
- Maya Hawke has signed onto the Netflix series God of the Woods
- Guarding Stars – based off of Katherine Center’s novel The Bodyguard – has finished filming and is heading to Netflix. The film stars Jared Padalecki and Leighton Meester
- The new series Off Campus is coming to Prime Video May 13th and they’ve dropped a teaser
- Season four of The White Lotus adds Max Greenfield, Kumail Nanjiani, Chloe Bennet, Charlie Hall, and Jarrad Paul to the cast. Series creator Mike White also reveals he has cameos from Survivor contestants planned
- A series adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel This Summer Will Be Different is headed to Netflix. If you haven’t read it yet, check it out here! It’s one of my favorite novels.
- An adaptation based off of one of Fortune’s other novels is also premiering on Prime in the coming months. It’s called Every Year after and is based off of her novel Every Summer After, another spectacular read.
- Momentum is picking up on the new Baywatch series – you can check out some photos here
- If you’re a Heated Rivalry fan, the Red Sox will be hosting a Heated Rivalry night – including an appearance from author Rachel Reid! – there is no date yet, but I will post when it’s announced.
