Today is the 50th anniversary of the iconic Spielberg film Jaws and if you’re looking to get in the spirit, the movie is now streaming on Peacock! There are events and celebrations happening on the Vineyard all weekend, including Amity Homecoming Weekend. You can check out all the celebratory events happening here.
If you’re looking for new music, the Jonas Brothers released a new single today called No Time to Talk, which samples the Bee Gees’ song Stayin’ Alive. Click here to hear that song!
If Jaws isn’t your speed, I have two recommendations for you:
- We Were Liars on Prime. I’ve been counting down to the release of this show for YEARS and it finally dropped on Prime on Wednesday. The show was created by Julie Plec and Carina MacKenzie (two of my favorite writers!) and per IMDB, it is “The story of a 17 year old girl from a wealthy family. Cady Sinclair spends her summers on a private island. After suffering a terrible accident she struggles to remember events that happened in her past.”
- I binged all 8 episodes the day they were released and it’s easily one of my favorite shows that’s been released in the last few years. It’s nostalgic, it’s socially relevant, and the relationships on the show are realistic and beautiful. And the twist at the end… You won’t see it coming. Check it out!
- The Waterfront is also on Netflix now. The series was created by Kevin Williamson (creator of Dawson’s Creek) and I haven’t seen it yet, but Kevin is brilliant and I’ve heard nothing but good things!
Enjoy your sunny weekend and thanks for checking out The Buzz this week, brought to you by Dini’s Tinis!
