Welcome back to another edition of The Buzz, brought to you by Dini’s tinis!
This week was heavy with the nostalgia, starting with the Dawson’s Creek reunion in New York City on Monday night.
For the first time since wrapping the series, the show’s full cast was set to appear together for an event in honor of James Van Der Beek and F Cancer. Unfortunately, James was unwell and unable to attend the event, but the rest of the cast still gathered together for this special event and did a full read through of the pilot episode of the beloved series.
If you want to see photos and videos from the event, start here. There are so many pictures and recordings out there and it’s so special to see the cast back together, especially for such a meaningful cause.
Kerr Smith, who played Jack McPhee on the show, also announced this week that he’s writing a book about his time on the show and the impact it’s had. The book is called I Don’t Want to Wait: My Journey on Dawson’s Creek Without a Paddle.
For more info on the book and to subscribe to his newsletter, check out this article. Jack was one of, if not my favorite, characters on the show and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Kerr and he was so kind and so down to earth, so I can’t wait to see what he chooses to share in this book.

Another little piece of nostalgia for you: *NSYNC was in the headlines this week after ‘pushing back plans’ for a stadium tour due to Justin Timberlake’s case of Lyme Disease.
Personally, I’m a little skeptical a tour was ever on the table, despite claims that the band was ‘closer than ever’ to getting back together for a massive stadium tour, but I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I just feel like they’ve been saying for years and years that a reunion is on the table, and it feels like more of a silly joke we can laugh at at this point.
Do you think they were going to tour, and do you think we’ll ever see a reunion?
We still have two more years until the summer Olympics, but we might be getting a taste of the Olympics and gymnastics a little bit sooner.
Word on the street is that Millie Bobby Brown is set to play Kerri Strug in an upcoming biopic called Perfect about the 1996 Olympian.
I also heard that tickets for the 2028 Olympics will be going on sale in early 2026, so if you’re interested in going to the Games in LA, keep your eyes peeled!
If you’re a fan of the Netflix series Nobody Wants This, the show’s second season will be premiering on October 23rd and you can check out the trailer below!
Speaking of rom coms, Katherine Center’s novel The Bodyguard is being adapted and Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki have been cast as the leads!
Lastly, Rob Hogan has been giving away tickets to see The B-52s and DEVO on the Quick Quiz and coincidentally, DEVO have been in the news this week.
Not only will they be playing both weekends of Coachella next year, they also have a new documentary out on Netflix now.
Though they were involved in the making of the documentary, they also are conflicted on the film and how it portrays them. Check out the documentary to learn more – and if you want to see them in concert, get those Quick Quiz answers in before 11:45am!
See you back here next week!
