Welcome back to another edition of The Buzz, brought to you by Dini’s Tinis!
Late last week, a new film about Boy George and Culture Club premiered in New York City and it’s getting rave reviews! The film promises to be ‘endlessly charming’ as it ‘dives headfirst into the chaos, charisma and enduring bond of one of the most iconic bands of the ‘80s’.
It’s told through various new interviews with all four of the group’s members and while it’s not available yet to the public, it will be on Netflix this coming fall!
Something else to look forward to later this year is the Wizard of Oz at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The immersive experience is opening indefinitely on August 28th and with your ticket, you will be transported into Dorothy’s world on an adventure through Kansas, through Oz, and down the yellow brick road into the Emerald City.
The film will be displayed on the Sphere’s 160,000 sq. ft. interior display plane and will utilize the venue’s haptic seats and there will be special effects so you can feel and smell things just like Dorothy and her friends did in the film. The movie’s music has also been remastered and orchestrations have been re-recorded, amplifying the experience even more.
You can find more info on that here.
Production on the Little House on the Prairie reboot has officially begun, as has The Devil Wears Prada sequel.
If you’re looking for something to listen to this weekend, Joshua Jackson’s latest Audible piece is out now and if you’re looking for a movie, Materialists with Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal is in theaters now as well.
Two things to look forward to in the coming week: Carina MacKenzie and Julie Plec’s new series We Were Liars is premiering on Prime on Wednesday, June 18th (I PROMISE it’s worth the watch!!) and Kevin Williamson’s new show The Waterfront is dropping on Netflix on Thursday, June 19th!
See you back here next week!
