Calling all Madonna’s fans! It looks like she is teaming up with Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine) to bring a biographical limited series about her life and career to Netflix! It’s still in the early stages of development, so it’s not clear yet which time period(s) the series will focus on, but it’s looking like Julia Garner is still interested in playing the role of Madonna, as she had been tapped to play in the film biopic that has halted.

Lastly, if you’re looking for a good book, check out Carley Fortune’s newest novel One Golden Summer! I finished it last night and it was AMAZING. It’s the perfect romance read as we head into summer. It’s full of nostalgia, family bonds, life on the lake, and of course, romance. You can read more about it here. One Golden Summer is the sequel to the novel Every Summer After, a novel I hold dearly in my Top 10 Books (ever!)
I also saw this week that pre orders have opened for Ally Carter’s latest novel The Blonde Who Came in from the Cold! Watermark Books is offering signed (and personalized!) copies of Ally’s book through July 25th.
The novel comes out on August 5th and is the follow up to The Blonde Identity. It is a romance/mystery novel that follows Alex and King, two CIA agents. In the novel, we get to see both Alex and King’s points of view and we meet these characters in both the past and the present day. I got an advance copy of the novel and I promise, it delivers everything you’re wanting and more! You will LAUGH (if there’s anyone who knows how to write banter, it’s Ally Carter!), you will cry, and you will be all around astounded by twists and turns in the story and the magical way Ally has with words. You can make that pre order here.
Lastly, there is a book about The Vampire Diaries coming September 9th – it’s an oral history of the much loved television series called I Was Feeling Epic An Oral History of The Vampire Diaries by Samantha Highfill. Check it out here!
