Immersive Frida Kahlo

After the recent success of pop ups and immersive experiences like Imagine Van Gogh, the Immersive Frida Kahlo exhibit is open in Boston from now until May 8th.

Frida was born in Mexico and was a bold and tenacious artist who was able to utilize her art to tell her life story. Frida faced many struggles in her life, including a tumultuous marriage in addition to many health issues, but none of that hindered her determined nature and the beautiful artwork she produced despite all of it.

She did not receive as much recognition throughout her lifetime as she could have, though her work was well recognized and acclaimed following her death, making her one of the most recognized artists in the world today.

These exhibits allow spectators to fully immerse themselves in the artists’ work – their paintings are projected on both the walls and the floors, allowing you to quite literally step into the paintings and let them come to life around you.

Additionally, there are also opportunities to take yoga classes inside the exhibit. All you need to do is purchase a ticket for the class, bring your own yoga mat, attend the class, and then you will be able to explore the exhibit after the class.

The exhibit is located at Lighthouse Artspace at the Castle on Columbus Avenue in Boston. For more information and tickets, visit their webpage.
