Finding the Perfect Spot for Afternoon Tea this Spring

With springtime and Mother’s Day quickly approaching, something to consider doing is going to afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea is becoming more and more popularized and is a quaint and quintessential experience. Though practices vary depending on the location, you’re typically given tea along with a variation of scones, tea sandwiches, and small desserts.

Because of the recent popularization, there are numerous locations popping up to get afternoon tea.

The newest spot is Shelly’s Tea Rooms located on Court Street in Plymouth. It is family owned by a couple who has owned and operated two tea rooms in England and have recently decided to take their business to the birthplace of the USA.

For more information, check out their website.

Another location you should check out is in South Yarmouth at the Captain Farris House Tea Room. Whether you’re staying at the inn or simply coming through town with friends and loved ones, the Cape Cod Tea Room is the perfect place to stop for afternoon tea.

They are open through April and require reservations, which can be made here

Lastly, you should also check out Fancy That in Walpole, MA if you’re interested in afternoon tea.

Their rooms are spectacularly gorgeous and foster a warm and cheerful environment. Each person is given their own individual pot of tea in addition to scones, sandwiches, and desserts to share amongst the table.

Seatings are 90 minutes and reservations are required and can be made here.

So, grab your loved ones this spring and find the perfect spot for an afternoon of tea.
