9/11 Remembrance event in Canton

This weekend marks 20 years since 9/11, an event that any American who was alive to witness, shall never forget. In fact, “Never Forget” was soon emblazoned across T-shirts, bumper stickers, store front signs and homes in the days following September 11th, 2001. Americans united after the attack on our country. Whether you were in the city to witness it live, or watched the footage on the news, the images are seared in your memory. Mike Molway, owner of FM Generator, is one of many Americans that sprung to action as FM Generator took on disaster-relief efforts in New York City for 30 days following the attack.
Committed to upholding “Never Forget”, Mike and the team at FM Generator have been working with the Town of Canton to create events designed to commemorate September 11th, while also creating educational opportunities for children and the young generation that was not alive for the fateful day that changed the course of American History. This weekend, beginning with a Vigil on Friday Night, September 10th, hosted by the Canton Veterans Department at Canton Heritage Memorial Park.
Education and events continue throughout the weekend and culminate on Sunday, September 12th with a blood mobile-blood drive at the Canton Police Station between 8:00am-2:30pm.
