I love shopping at my favorite grocery store. The prices are the best around and each department has great variety and quality. I love me some pecan pie or apple fitters from their bakery any day. BUT, OMG….those bags. The 1979-era paper bags have got to go. They made great school book covers, though; you could doodle your weekly crush’s name on them and put unicorn stickers on them, but definitely not good for transporting groceries.
Sure, I could create some cute arts-n-crafts things like recycled paper bag monsters for Halloween or re-do my kitchen floor with them, (brown paper bag flooring….a real thing!), but who’s got time for that? Plus, when taking in my groceries and my strawberries and oranges break thru the bag and roll across my kitchen floor, am I really in the mood to do something creative with that paper bag? Nope. But they do make a great blotter for greasy bacon and great fire starters for the fire place.
