My friend Kim has always been a great mom to her two children; she is a loving grandmother and a pet mom, as well.
Recently, Kim shot up to Super Hero status in my book.
On any given day, if you walk into her home, you’ll be greeted by no fewer than seven hounds who are happy to see you with their waggy tails, big smiles, yip yaps and happy howls, and they all want to play. Plus, at least one of her fabulous felines will swirl around your ankles until you pick him up to be petted.
One of her dogs, Jersey, had puppies recently; three girls and a boy. The boy puppy was huge at 7 ounces. He was breach, but there was a bigger problem: he had no heartbeat. A trained Veterinary Technician, Kim knew exactly what to do. She performed CPR non stop, with every ounce of energy she had. Then, the hound had a heartbeat; she brought him to life!!!! Kim decided to name him Ryker, which means strength.
Although Ryker’s sisters all went to good homes, he now lives happily-ever-after with his guardian angel, Kim.
